I would like to announce the 1st Pokemon of the Week Lucario! Lucario is general is good with a lot of different movesets and massive power.

Abilities: Inner Focus: Prevents flinching.
Steadfast: Speed is boosted one stage when flinched.

This Lucario set is standard which you will see a lot. After 1 Swords Dance, Lucario basically 2HKO'S any pokemon in the game with the use of a power Close Combat. The item choice is up to you, Focus Sash guarantees that one Swords Dance comes in. Life Orb makes Lucario a instant sweeper. If a pokemon tends to be faster use Extremespeed. Now for the last slot it is up to you. Stone Edge cripples flying types such as Bulky Gyarados and Zapdos, while Crunch takes a mean bite out of Cresselia and Dusknoir.

With this given set and ev spread. Specs Cario is capable to 2-3HKOing Blissey with Aura Sphere. Vacuum Wave is used against faster pokemon such as Weavile, this should OHKO it, also helps making comebacks. Dark Pulse dents Dusknoir and Cresselia. Hidden Power Ice is used to OHKO dragons.

Choice Band Lucario really rapes. Close Combat causes major damage causing more than halve on forretress is great. Crunch takes a chunk out of Cresselia or Dusknoir, may even OHKO in some cases. Ice Punch OHKO's Gliscor, but picking Ice Punch over Stone Edge will make Gyarados easily to setup. Extremespeed and Bullet Punch are both good priority moves Extreme will have 80 Power, but unlike bullet punch it won't hit ghost types like Gengar which Lucario fears.

The true mix-Lucario is only avaiable here. Life Orb as always is needed for mix-sweeping otherwise they tend to have below average power. Close Combat is Lucario's main STAB move with Life Orb Lucario can OHKO any blissey. Slot 2 is up to you. Crunch makes a mean meal out of Cresselia and Dusknoir. Stone Edge tears apart bulky Gyarados and Zapdos, but be aware that it will miss 20% of the time. Blaze Kick OHKO's Forrertress and Scizor any day. Hidden Power Ice can OHKO Gliscor and Salamence with the given ev spread and Life Orb, of course you will need high ivs for this. Hidden Power Grass can majorly hurt Swampert and Rhyperior. Lucario's first turn moves, Extremespeed is the better choice since this kinda Lucario is EV'd in Atk, however if you like OHKOing Weavile which would own Lucario go with Vacuum Wave. The given ev spread out speeds Adamant and Modest Salamence, also outspeeds Jolly Dragonite.

Opinon
Lucario is a all out great sweeper. Lucario is dangerous once its out, you will not know what moveset it will be using since there is so many possiblilities. He also is a great addition to SS teams.

Counters
Gliscor easily counters the swords dance set. It can roost to revive health and use earthquake to kill it. Weezing can Will-O-Wisp Lucario's massive attack. Hippowdon can take hits very well from him and just slack it off. Hippowdon normally packs roar so Lucario's SD goes away. Blissey counters the Choice Specs Set very well. It takes 3 Aura Spheres when getting KO'd at full HP. Spiritomb and Dusknoir are great counters to Lucario as they are ghosts which fighting types can't attack and also they can cripple his attack using will-o-wisp and heal using pain split


These are just the major sets lucario uses. Other sets will include Sub-Punching, Choice Band, Choice Scarf etc.
